Oh so Yummy Oats!! Recipe 1 : Masala Oats Pancake/Chila

In that last couple of years, Oats has gained popularity and has found place in Indian household. However oats recipes have stayed limited to breakfast options.
But not anymore! We have brought some tasty, quick, healthy recipes made out of masala oats!

Ingredients:
1 pkt Masala Oats
1 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 tbsp finely chopped /grated tomato
½ tsp finely chopped/grated ginger
½ green chilli chopped (optional)
A few coriander leaves finely chopped
1 tbsp oil
Procedure:
Empty contents of Oats packet in a mixer bowl and grind to coarse flour. Empty out in a bowl. Now add onion, ginger, chilli, tomato and coriander leaves and mix well. Slowly add a little water and keep mixing till you have e a dosa like batter. Heat a non stick pan. Put a few drops of oil and spread on the entire flat surface of the pan with a tissue. When the pan is hot, pour out the batter in the centre of the pan. With a spatula, spread out the batter to a round shape and cook on low flame till both sides are golden brown. Add a few drops of oil on each side, so that the pancake is crispy on the top and soft inside.
Serve hot with chutney, ketchup or pickle. Makes a nutritious breakfast or tea time snack.
